False. In Middlesex county most people are hardcore Catholics. I can't come out to my parents.

seriously, i live in MA and recently I've been thinking about how LITTLE people care that I'm non religious. it has been a total non issue for me personally.

As someone from New Zealand, where barely anyone goes to church and anything more than the most moderate and unacknowledged Anglicanism or Catholicism would make most people a bit dubious about you, this subreddit is bewildering.

And it feels a bit like if there was a hugely popular subreddit devoted to people... supporting each other in being able to swear, or stay up past 10pm, or watch R rated movies. "Worked out God isn't real? So Brave. So very brave."

I get that it's different in the states, and some other places. But that is how it feels from over here.

well...there are a shit ton of catholics here, but they tend to churn out the likes of Louis C.K., George Carlin and Bill Maher.
