I don't know man, those hockey fans are almost as bad as SEC fans.

I could see some of those cross border rivalries get the blood going.

I’d say it’s a bit different. While they are neighbors, Russia has supported insurgencies at Ukrainian borders since at least the annexation of Crimea. Territorial disputes are one of the most dangerous variables a dyad (pair of countries) could have. The US and Canada do not have anything comparable. While I believe many Russians are not interested in fighting, there are probably just as many that have been influenced by propaganda. I guess only time will tell if the general populace is resolved enough to fight even if Putin definitely is.
