View submission: War in Ukraine Megathread

One thing I think is incredible are the Ukrainians joining the fight right now. It's (reletively) easy to join the United States Army knowing it's the most powerful country on Earth. You know we'll win basically any fight we'd be in.

But to join a fight you know you're likely to lose just to defend your home is incredibly brave. Hopefully Ukraine will live to see another day

I'm just thinking soon there will be foreign volunteer units starting to appear. Stuff like the Free Burma Rangers.

I've got a feeling theyre gonna go the way of the black watch in battletech, defeated in convention warfare but giving occupying forces hell afterwards as a resistance movement. I just hope most of them survive

Our brothers in arms in the Ukraine are giving them hell rn - I wouldn’t write them off
