Can you at least acknowledge how selfish you are?
Your country may very well be fighting for their independence from an oppressive state; fighting for it’s very right to survive. Your countrymen are preparing to fight to their last dying breath against Russia to ensure you have a chance for a future.
And all you can do is think of yourself. You are the worst kind of a person.

Imagine being this guys ancestors who survived the holodomor, which was perpetrated by the russians, looking down on this dude from heaven to see him tucking his tail and running like a low down yellow bellied coward instead of standing his ground and taking vengeance against the very same people that tried to systematically starve his country to death.

Is it really too selfish too live? Fear is natural even in sentient beings like us. Imagine you being in his situation rn. You dont know who he is, you dont know what he is been through and you are only calling him a "chicken" because you are not the one being affected in his situation. Its normal for him to choose the flight response and live a better life instead of being sacrifice due to some political reasons. It is not selfish to choose to live and he may be and atheist but you and I both know that GOD didnt create us just to become a militarized puppet blinded by loyalty and "patriotism"
