View submission: Announcing RPAN, a limited-time live broadcasting experience

View parent comment

1. We did this to encourage people to explore different broadcasts but we've heard that it can be confusing. If you decide not to change videos by clicking "KEEP WATCHING", it should not try to switch you again.

2. We wanted to distinguish RPAN visually since it's only on for a limited time period. But we hear you.

3. We prioritized broadcasting features for mobile only for this experience. If you'd like to broadcast via desktop please tell us more at r/pan.

4. Noted!

Thanks!

I finally downvoted the ad for RPAN, in an attempt to inform you that this was bothersome, and it launched RPAN instead.

Why the fuck would you limit it only to mobile? That just seems stupid to limit such a "fun" and "new experience" to the mobile app that barely works half the time

How about distinguishing which sub is right to contact instead of allowing confused participants to send your hatemail to me in the RPAN sub (created long ago and not related to your project). I've only asked you what...20 times now to direct your confused angry users back to you.

I don't know if it's a bug, but I only get the 'keep watching' message the first time it switches and afterwards it'll just switch me automatically.

Also, it would be nice if it would start you off on a random broadcast instead of the most popular one (?). Right now you have to click through a bunch of broadcasts you've already seen if you restart rpan.

Can we please have the option to opt out. I just opened reddit to see some young kid chomping on a fist full of tiktacs... It's not something I really want to see. And the other day the top broadcast was a guy just mashing away at a mechanical counting tool... Why on earth would I want to sit and watch that...? I don't mind that it's a new thing for you guys and I recognize that there is an audience for it. But I am not that demographic and would like the opertunity to remove it from my feed.

Is there a plan to add audio ads in-between broadcasts?
