It takes 5 minutes to load an image in a post, but you can get annoying videos to play instantly? I don't get it.

Okay so I have video autoplay set to Wi-Fi only yet this thing is constantly streaming at the top of my page even when I’m using mobile data. Even if I click hide it’s still clearly streaming in the background.

If this keeps up it will absolutely tank my data on my phone.

On the app on my iPhone at least, there was no way of hiding, pausing or muting the video. Scrolling down didn't work (quite often autoplay videos stop when out-of-view).

That alone would be enough for me to stop using the Reddit app, as long as this content is in it! :)

I block all v.reddit.com videos already as they don't load properly and ruin my feed. Perhaps getting video working smoothly for all users would be a better starting point.

1. Why wasn't this announced in /r/announcements[1] or on /r/blog until after it released?

2. Why is this not placed in its own subreddit?

3. Why is there a button for this in my nav bar?

So I tried tuning in and it's someone doodling a cartoon and half the video screen is a note trying to get you to follow their Instagram. I went to the next video and it's literally a person taking a shit. What's the purpose?

Ok well I for one actually enjoy this feature, so here's some actual feedback:

1. Please, please remove the thing where RPAN automatically changes videos after a certain amount of time. A lot of the broadcasts are music or ASMR, things that we have on in the background to listen to, so the "autoplay" thing ruins that.

2. Remove the RPAN icon from the top bar on the redesign, or at least grey it out so it doesn't look like a notification.

3. Make it more obvious how to start a stream yourself. I still can't find that button. (EDIT: It's only on mobile? Why!?!)

4. You should really add a sidebar that allows you to scroll through all the streams, like a normal reddit thread. It's so tedious going one by one, and it's hard to go back to one that you already passed.
