View submission: Introducing Custom Feeds (plus: a Community Contest with modest prizes!)
A lot of semi-related ~~subreddits~~ communities currently share a percentage of the same posts, often because redditors post the same post to multiple ~~subreddits~~ communities for increased coverage. This means that I see a lot of duplicate posts in my reddit feed. I know it's a complicated problem, but it would be awesome if y'all could do some kind of deduplication filtering so that when someone spams their latest youtube video I don't see it 6 times because I'm ~~subbed~~ a member of 6 of the ~~subreddits~~ communities that they posted to.
Or, make these new "feeds" a first class concept, so that redditors can post to a feed... But given the read-only connotations of the word "feed", I suspect this is not in the works.

Yeah this is pretty bad in the VR subs, the community is so dispersed over all the variations /r/vive /r/steamvr /r/vive_vr /r/virtual_reality /r/oculus /r/valveindex etc etc there's a couple others I forget but as soon as some major news breaks on a new game or what have you, I see it 20 times lol
