Can you stop auto switching me to your new layout. I dont like the new laylout, thats why I stay on "old" reddit. At this point I dont believe it just a bug. Just tell me what i have to do to make you stop

Well i think the official way is by toggling the option in your user settings.

1: https://new.reddit.com/settings/

2: https://old.reddit.com/prefs/

You can also replace the 'www' in the url of your bookmarks or links with 'old' or 'new' if you want to go directly to either version of the website. For example, change www.reddit.com to old.reddit.com[3] or new.reddit.com[4].

3: https://old.reddit.com

4: https://new.reddit.com

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you're on mobile and it still didn't work, for some reason switching to the desktop site happened to make it stick to the old reddit for me (idk if it matters, but it was in Brave[5] browser, on android). You can click on the top right "hamburger" menu, and click "Desktop Site". Or try this link: https://www.reddit.com/?utm_name=desktop_link[6][7]

5: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brave.browser

6: https://www.reddit.com/?utm_name=desktop_link

7: https://www.reddit.com/?utm_name=desktop_link

And if you want to get back to the mobile version[8]: Scroll to the bottom of the page on the desktop website, find the '**apps & tools**' heading, and click on the '**mobile website**' link under that heading. (You may need to clear the cookies in your browser before trying this).

Also here's an old-school-looking mobile version i found: https://i.reddit.com[9][10]

9: https://i.reddit.com

10: https://i.reddit.com

Also, i found out there's location-based filters...: https://www.reddit.com/r/popular.compact?geo_filter=AU[11][12]

No. they eventually want everyone to switch to the new layout and they have absolutely no intention of making it easier for you to avoid it. Get used to it. Two or three years from now the old Reddit will probably not work at all without third-party add-ons.
