It's like burning down the town bar all the racists like to drink at. You haven't gotten rid of the racists, you've just scattered them so now every bar has someone yelling about those dirty [insert slur of your choice here].

And the argument of, "they don't live in the bar clearly so they hate out in public, bla bla" doesn't hold water just like it doesn't here. Sure, those racists were busy being racists at home and this bar and with friends but not at Starbucks probably. Not at the supermarket, because they had a safe place where they could be their most racist so you know they're going to hold onto the worst till among friends at the bar. Burn down the bar, you've removed a safe space for bad people to congregate. In a way the community improves and in many ways it doesnt...

It's like forcibly disbanding the KKK - an unambiguously good move if you think bigotry is bad.
