For people with service connected musculoskeletal issues it can help because it’s considered ergonomic equipment and improves body positioning. You can have an ergonomic evaluation done and OT/PT will give recommendations on equipment that could help to include a standing desk.

hips and lower backs need to be protected at all costs! being in your position of comfort - whether it’s sitting or standing at different intervals - can reduce fatigue and further discomfort from being stuck in the same position for long periods.

kind of similar to standing/physical limitations related to posture.
