View submission: Apparently, Reddit is getting rid of personalized subreddits
To be more precise, they're getting rid of the custom CSS system of subreddits and opting for a more uniform system via modtools. This is so that subreddits will look better on their ~~garbage~~ mobile apps.
Many subreddits utilize CSS for spoiler tags, custom flairs, comment faces/emotes, banners, and just about whatever the fuck else they want to do. Now, they'll have to wait for the admins to implement these features into Reddit itself. And judging by how often the search function breaks down, I'm not expecting the best.
It's like taking away a painter's canvas, and handing them a pack of stickers instead.
But what do I know; I'm just a poweruser. Curious to hear what our mods think about this.

We feel exactly the same. We hear the same talk of "oh we really appreciate what you're doing moderators, you da best" and then we get the rug pulled out from under us.

Whoa wait as someone who only uses the mobile app that still doesn't make sense. I can browse reddit perfectly fine and even though I don't see the cool stuff that mods made, it works so who cares!?!?
