View submission: On Reddit's moderation system creating a reddit-wide echo chamber
I’m gay, and in majority of gay / lgbt subreddits, any acknowledgement that trans people are biologically different from the sex they identify as gets you banned for “transphobia”.
Nobody asked us to vote on these issues; activists, institutions, and moderators are forcing their views on us. They even redefine what gay and lesbian are, and without outlets to express our real thoughts, I feel like we’re being shoved back in the closet by people who have stolen our identities.
But yes Reddit is trash. The moderation system is archaic. CEO is a douche. Business model is desperate, and has no incentive to improve things.
There's nothing here!
