Like, seriously, we're not talking about some random forum here. You're (at least somewhat) at the helm of one of the internet's major communities, and a company that must be worth at least in the mid hundreds of millions.
You just fired the employee that runs one of the major drawcards of reddit, the place that had the goddamn US president as a guest. And now have allowed it to be set to private, as well as leaving AMA guests hanging with seemingly little communication.
Is it really too much to as for you to not make jokes at the expense of the userbase that gives your company value, and to deliver a professional statement about what exactly is going on, why it's going on, and how it will be fixed?
That's typically what would be expected of someone of your stature.

Victoria was the face of reddit to most people. She was the only admin I knew by face and first name.
