View submission: [Developing] Former /r/conspiracy mod /u/Flytape is added as a mod to /r/xkcd. Need I say more?

Former /r/conspiracy mod...

He's actually a current mod right now. /conspiracy has no shame.

Every time this issue is brought to the forefront, soccer changes the sidebar and then changes it back a few weeks later once the hubbub has died down. Are you here to tell us that won't happen again? Is there any reason to stay here instead of going to /r/xkcdcomic?

/u/StrictScrutiny living up to his name.

Also /wjkm, I'll never forgive you for beating me to this drama.

Edit: /SRS is /Flytape's story,[1] and he's sticking to it.[2]

Does he actually think he can scream /SRS loud enough that people will think that's what happened?

Edit2: I don't want to panic anyone, but /Flytape may have super powers.

/conspiracy has no shame.

Nor logic, reason or common sense. And a total lack of facts or evidence. But that never seems to stop them.

/r/xkcd has the most current information on the chemtrail projects Randall worked on at NASA.

Hijacking the top comment to note that Flytape's claims that the objected-to subs have been removed from the sidebar are lies. There are still links in the /r/XKCD sidebar to /r/theredpill, /r/conspiracy, etc., they're just disguised as links to /r/physics, /r/askhistorians, and so on.

Pretty fucking deceitful.

Shit, I just read the '*and 1 more...*' part of the conspiracy mods list. Also, had to verify my email in a rush just to post this.

/u/flytape
I'm pretty sure /u/eightNote did the CSS.

and I would like it removed.

The creator of the sub's CSS wants it removed because of the change of leadership. Does this have precedence on reddit? Would the admins even bother to get involved?

I'd heard before that references to /r/xkcdcomic were automatically removed & that comment seems to be gone now.

Edit: Yep, this[1] was removed in a second.

Edit2: If you ask me, it seems like there might be some *conspiracy* going on there.

In this scenario we can take SRS for being Sane Reasonable Souls so it's no wonder an /r/conspiracy mod would take offence to them.

Hell, it works in here. Every time one of our resident MRAs says something really really dumb and gets appropriately downvoted for it they scream "SRS brigades" and all the usual suspects come out of the woodwork to get outraged. They really are a multi-purpose scapegoat for every possible situation.

It'll continue till the day Randall Munro actually creates a comic about it, and then all of a sudden the sub in question will be banned.

Yeah, it's not like SRS had anything to do with it.
