Once this is all finished one way or the other, I think I might be done with SubredditDrama, because nothing will ever top the madness that has infected r/atheism.

The /r/atheism may-may uprising is one of the most mimetic events I've ever witnessed on the internet. The classical fall of a powerful kingdom leading to an ideological schism right down the middle. We have the memers to the south of the front page and the discussotoids to the north. The incumbent moderators have imposed sanctions and curfews to maintain any semblance of civility and avoid full blown anarchy.
Splinter groups and pockets of pro-/u/skeen users have wandered into other subs like /r/adviceanimals, all seeking asylum and platforms to spread their disdain.
A clique of ambitious users have conspired to bring the current /r/atheism to its knees by one method and one method only. A coup d'etat . Doxxing /u/jij would be the online equivalent of assassination and when that happens, you bet your fucking ass we're all gonna be stuck to our seats, popcorn in hand, watching this event unfold.

7 months ago was the Gawker/creepshots drama. People were saying the same thing back then. *Who knows what the future holds?*

This defeatist attitude cannot stand! There's *always* more drama to be had. We just need to be ever vigilant.

I disagree. /r/conspiracy drama last month I think was even more buttery.

It does kind of set the standard impossibly high. This is the Superbowl of Superbowls for drama. The drama has gotten so intense that popcorn particles have warped the genes of many people; turning them into wild atheist chimpanzees with a taste for blood. You do have to keep telling yourself that it's just a movie though or you'll fall into an existential black hole. What this drama says about many people on reddit is something I try to avoid thinking about.

Reminds me of that giant 22-part story in TFTS. Nothing has ever come close since.

Not me. It's like, just because you've had the best weeks of orgasms you'll ever have doesn't mean you never want to have an orgasm again.
