Also if federal gov cuts funding to states, states will also need to pick up the costs if we want to maintain continuity in completion of projects and social services along with other programs. Example: Medicaid expansion which provided additional services to members or services will be cut.

Given that the current administration is not fond of blue states, it’s quite possible we will be in more of a financial bind.

If Medicaid expansion is targeted, unfortunately the state would be doing more cutting than maintaining. I work within DSHS and my administration has already been planning for upcoming cuts due to the 2025 state deficit; medicaid expansion funds being pulled on top of this would be the nail in the coffin for so many programs.
