And I’ve seen this brought up several threads with the admins and never addressed. It’s seriously being abused and needs to be addressed specifically.

I think it would be but to address it you have to acknowledge the monumental issue of spam rings on Reddit. Let's face it, if Reddit got rid of the spam that they're well aware of it would probably reduce traffic by a third. And because traffic is money, well that explains the inaction.
