View submission: How long is your Thanksgiving celebration?

I think that "local" is what makes the most difference for this, overall. When people live in the same town, they probably visit more often, and can come over just for a few hours and go home to sleep in their own beds that night. When people come in from far away and you don't see them as often, it's nice if they can stay for a few days so you can have more time together.

So true.

I am 74 YO, my Siblings have all passed away, as have my Parents, it's just my Son, his Family and Friends, my ex-wife and her husband, we're all within 20 minutes of each other.

I also spend the Sunday after with a large group of Friends, maybe 25 or 30, sometimes more, all in similar circumstances and age; we celebrate with Kids and Grandkids on Thanksgiving Day, the adults come together to celebrate on that Sunday.

That makes for a very nice weekend...
