View submission: Missing iMessages?

There is a setting in iOS to automatically delete messages older than X days or X months or X years. Check that setting, I'm certain this is what happened.

I don’t think so because I have her older messages still in the conversation. I have the “is (my kid’s name) coming to class today?” from the day we missed class because we had to go the doctor, but the message the week before where she says she has scheduled the repetition at the time of my kid’s class is gone. I still have the “happy new year” message from the first week of January, while all the newer messages from last week where she cancels class and says she won’t be there for the next couple of weeks aren’t here anymore... So it really looks like it’s a selection that has been deleted and not the conversation that’s been cleared by date. It’s very very weird…
