This is fake. Reddit never just plays a video. You have to reload the page at least once, often twice, occasionally over and over and over.

Well for me it always plays the video smoothly ... When I'm on cellular data. But when I'm on wifi which is like 10 times faster and unlimited then it shits itself. Don't know what the Devs are smoking

I open in browser and it works. It's fuckin stupid, but for the videos I don't skip over it is useful and faster than reloading.

The trick is to click at the 1 second mark, then click the middle of the video to get the play icon back on, then click it to play the video. That's how I've fixed it. But even so, it's ridiculous to have to do that to get it to work.

The internet played videos fairly well as far back as when we were teenagers. Not sure how you screw something up so bad that has worked for 20 years. EDIT: and keep in mind, that was with most videos being .mov format and being played with QuickTime! QuickTime is laughed at today.

Even writing text on the desktop it freezes up and starts to buffer. What the hell is wrong with this broken ass site?!!
