Based on taste and recipe,YES. I just called it the "Ilocos Longganisa" para walang away. Lots of garlic and ilocos vinegar. Ewan ko nga sa Vigan bat inangkin yung term. I mean di lang sila yung city/municipality sa Ilocos.

Their version of empanada is different. Sila what at parang lumpia while we have an orange color (atsuete daw).

Yeah, I honestly can't discern the difference in taste between the two garlicky longganisas (Laoag/Batac and Vigan). XD Sabi sa blog ni Ivan Henares, may longganisa rin sa San Nicolas, but I haven't tasted it yet.

Re empanada, magkaiba nga sila ng kulay but I remember they taste the similar pa rin. Buti na lang may FariƱas Ilocos Empanada dito sa QC kapag napapa-crave ako. Hehe.
