I’m still on Section One: Red. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I find it a little hard to read. I also find the boxed snippets distracting and I tend to skip them because they make it difficult for me to get back on topic having ADDish tendencies.

Learned a new term today—Hapsberg Lip which means the lower lip is pronounced. Mine is, slightly.
Finally finished *Section One: Red*.
When I read, often I find myself just reading the words but my mind is somewhere else. I backtrack several times in a reading session. All the more reason to do DEAR every day. Hopefully, this will improve my focus.

I think the use of lead as foundation before created the myth that makeup is bad for the skin. We’ve come a long way since then.
I’m reading another book later tonight.

Date: April 4 Time: 11:26 PM to 12:01 AM Book: Face Paint
Whew!!! Almost missed a day. I was so busy at work, I missed a meal (this is when I usually do DEAR).
Done with the chapter on White. It’s funny how some westerners think that the reason Asians whiten their skin is because we want to look white (like, caucasian white). That’s just not the case. This chapter demonstrates that it’s more about wanting to have lighter skintone not really to look like another race. That said, I hope we get past this whitening obsession. It’s literally going on for centuries.
