View submission: do people with schizophrenia who also need glasses see their hallucinations clear or blurry when not wearing glasses?

That’s interesting! If she’s attempting to tune in to something being generated from an internal source, blocking any external sound waves by putting up her hood makes sense. The ear plugging points more to causing a pressure dysregulation of sorts to me, though—which makes we wonder what the correlation between that and auditory hallucinations is.

(I have tinnitus so I think about ear pressure and barometric pressure!)

When I had bad psychosis and was hearing things I would plug my ears and if I could still hear the voices I knew it was hallucinations, and if I couldn’t hear anything I knew it was real

I wonder if it might not be pressure-related, but closer to “blocking out sounds to hear yourself think.”
