View submission: do people with schizophrenia who also need glasses see their hallucinations clear or blurry when not wearing glasses?

I had a psych rotation in nursing school and had a psych pt that had auditory hallucinations. She would pull her hood up over her head and plug her ears to hear them better. You knew that if she had her hood up she was listening to her voices, hers voices were nice according her.

That’s interesting! If she’s attempting to tune in to something being generated from an internal source, blocking any external sound waves by putting up her hood makes sense. The ear plugging points more to causing a pressure dysregulation of sorts to me, though—which makes we wonder what the correlation between that and auditory hallucinations is.

(I have tinnitus so I think about ear pressure and barometric pressure!)
