My husband had to teach me because I was still out of it when the nurse taught him at the hospital.

My husband also did the first diaper changes, as well as the first feedings while I wasn't well enough. As I started to recover and be able to breastfeed during day 2 and 3 at the hospital, my husband still did the supplement feedings since he was now an experienced cup feeder and I was more insecure. When they rolled me away to surgery 45 minutes after the birth, his dad career kickstarted as he was left alone in a dark, empty hospital room, and all he could do was hold the baby skin to skin under his shirt, sing to him and hope to get me back alive and well.

I was the swaddle king for several days/weeks after we got home! Then our LO decided her arms needed to be freeee!!!
