I mean, it probably depends on if you grew up pre vs post internet. In my experience, most people email, and their stuff all gets summarized and passed up. The phone call people were either screaming at and verbally abusing me, or just talking to me for wayyy too long. Also, if you look at most of the posts on this sub today, people are complaining the voicemails are all full or no one answered, so at that point, the phone call was useless and an email would be more effective.

Excellent points! I hope I didn't come off as trying to argue -- I am genuinely curious, and tbh actually kind of relieved to hear this, as I have some serious phone anxiety and had been psyching myself up to dial for the last hour.... I am fine with being a tally number as long as the volume gets through!
