Los Angeles weekend discussion thread 06/21 - 06/23

Car got broken into at the new place after I got home from Global. They took my tiny car 2 in 1 emergency window breaker/seatbelt cutter, $8. That was it. Didn't take anything else that were way more valuable (though really it's all mostly junk, just some items are worth like TWELVE DOLLARS).

Must've been a disappointing break in for that scumbag.

Happy Friday y'all. First week with no school has been great despite not doing much of anything. I'm just glad I'm able to get decent sleep now. Weekend is a bit busy but I'll try to make it to the global after party thing if not global itself. Hope y'all have a good weekend!

I was apparently nervous during the interview but by next Monday hopefully I will be in training. It seems like both my manager and district manager were endorsing me.

Not to shame anyone who drives for Uber or Lyft, but there needs to be some regulation or mechanism on Uber or Lyft to report reckless drivers. It's absolutely ridiculous the amount of disruptive and dangerous shit they do and then get paid for it with no consequence. This morning a Prius driver with an Uber sticker felt it was a good idea to cut me off as the car in front of me was slowing down, cutting my braking distance from 30 feet to 5, while the lane they came from had no cars in front of them. I wouldn't be so upset if it didn't happen every fucking day but it does.

The gf flies out tomorrow morning, so I'll be leaving work a little early today. Family and I are going to spend the rest of the evening with her. Going to be pretty sad. With that being said, going to probably go to Cafe Lu and get our car washed, then maybe the social and then a buddy will be out here from SF, so we will be bar hopping in DTLA or Burbank. Then Sunday morning cars and coffee and then lunch with a friend.

I want to paint my kitchen cabinets white and paint black diamonds on the corners of my kitchen floor tiles and put up a subway tile backsplash but this is a rental.
