View submission: Save our Wimpy-Birkenhead

just to add though, people seriously complaining about the place being pricey while there's places charging London prices springing up everywhere and dominating sections of Liverpool so that younger people and new-comers think its normal.

yeah it costs more than maccies but its also not a massive multinational chain with ways to push prices into the ground.

It *is* a massive multinational, though. They have over 500 locations worldwide. For comparison, Nandos operate 1,200, Wagamama operate about 250, and Yo! Sushi operate 50. They're not McDonald's, but they're a decently midsized operation on par with other multinationals, ergo, big enough to have a substantial and wide-reaching supply chain.

The problem is not just that it's expensive, it's that it's really not great value for money. Any greasy spoon will give you same or better for less.

The other major issue is that, statistically, 95% of Wimpy customers are dead.

Maccies is not driving down the price by being a multinational chain, quite the opposite in fact

What difference would it make whether it's a multinational chain or not. If it's worse value than somewhere else then I'm not going
