"Alcoholic drinks will be BYOB, please bring enough to share. **Also, I like stouts**."
260$/ head, 300$ at the door. Multiply that by around 50 people that attend each year around 15,000. Party room + catering costs around 5,000. Which means you are already making 10,000 from these events. and you're still asking for people to bring you free alcohol? You are one hell of a faggot.

Tbh so what if the organizer makes a little money from this. He’s doing this so we can enjoy a nice party, why should he be providing u with entertainment for free? If you think it’s that lucrative why not organize your own party? Also like the other guy said, $15k isn’t a lot for a party for 50 and the organizer tanks the risk.

And where, pray tell, are the quotes you got to back up your accusations?
Or did you pull numbers out of your arse.
Ive done a couple such events myself. They are those prices, give or take a little.
Will you be the one hedging the organizers risk if too few people show up and organizer has to make up the difference? I thought not.

I'm throwing a party for some (40ish) friends later this year.
Your 5k party room sounds like a great deal !!! I'll be happy to pay 5k for a room + food.
That's around HKD125 per head.
Right now the best deal I've been given is around 150 for room & 150 for food per person.

I think you are thinking in term USD. I mean it's normal to spend near HKD 300 on a night out with a private venue here.
