View submission: Pixel 8 intermittent green screen help
First of all, the problem you're experiencing is a faulty display, a known issue with a selected batch of "bigsurf" displays manufactured by BOE. You can confirm this by installing the app "Device Info HW" (ru.andr7e.deviceinfohw app package) and looking up the LCM value. Google is issuing a warranty and replacement eligibility to all customers with this exact display model.
If you're able to still navigate through the phone, head over to the dev settings, enable USB debugging and use scrcpy utility on the computer to navigate through the phone, or to back up stuff from it more easily. Keep in mind that protected content (such as 2FA apps and banking ones) will not be mirrored over to the host due to the Android's nature of security.
You should go to the retail store you bought it from or send them a message with a picture attached, explaining what happened and showing them the Google option on replacing it. You would then file a warranty claim on the phone and get a replacement once the authorized repair place approves the eligibility. Depending on the store's policies and laws applied in your country, the store should accept the device if there's been an extended warranty period issued to it, even if the standard 24-month one has already expired since you bought the product.
Remember to always go after the store you got it from first before looking out for alternatives like Google Customer Support or an authorized third-party repair shop.
My Pixel 8 (manufactured in April 2024) is also surprisingly using the bigsurf display from BOE. So far, I'm having no issues, but I'm ready to file a warranty claim at any time the screen decides to blast purple lines or a green tint on me.
