No, but here’s the thing. The median wage is also lower in its buying power, and when compared to my parents (GEN X) it cost them 8000x the min wage to buy a house in 1990. (8000 hours of minimum wage for house purchase price)

My dad made double minimum wage then, with no degree.

I currently make quadruple the minimum wage, and it will take roughly 30,000 minimum wage hours to afford a house.

In essence, real wage wise, my dad bought his house for 4000x the minimum wage in 1990. And it’s 3200 square feet.

I bought my house (for below median house price in my area) for 7,500 minimum wage hours and it’s 1700 square feet.

That’s the difference in your buying power since 1990.

I live in a rural area, granted, but the problem is worse in the city.
