I be feeling like a boomer when I go into a Deli and complain that I see chips I used to buy for 0.25 and 0.50 cents now cost $2.00 and $2.50 😭 But it’s true tho, even candy bars like Hershey’s and Twix. Them shits used to be 0.75 cent MAX and now they $1.50 or even $2.00 depending on where you’re buying. I catch myself at a store with my little brother going “back in my day 👴🏼” 😭😭😭

Bro, growing up a 20oz bottle of coke was 99¢, fed minimum wage was $7.25 then.

Now a coke is $3.50 and fed minimum wage is $7.25.

I could buy almost 7 cokes with tax at fed min as a kid. Now you can barely buy 2.

I'm sort of the opposite for some reason, maybe because I haven't really gone shopping or anything (I'm 17 and my parents do not let me out of the house other than for school basically) but for some reason in my head I drastically overprice everything. Most likely because I know everything is getting more and more expensive but never really knew what the base was and how much more it's gotten since again. You know. I am not really allowed out of the house.
