View submission: Thoughts on trump’s economy?
Historical stock markets have done well when Democrats run things. Tax cuts for the rich only work if taxes are suffocatingly high, which the US is not even close. Public spending is good for the economy, good for both the rich and the poor.

I agree 100%, just retelling a sentiment I heard after the election, and it is probably stemming from what people remember of Trump 1.0. He received an economy in a decent shape and supercharged it with Tax cuts to create higher initial market returns when we should have been creating savings and reducing the deficit, then they generally gave him a pass on a crash during Covid.

I don't understand how people forget that The New Deal saved America from the lows of the Great Depression. Quality of life improved for the average American, we got relief from viscous unemployment levels. Gutting federal workers and depriving their local communities from income that would've otherwise been spent is detrimental. I wish they saw the economy as an ecosystem. The "producer level" or working class level of the "environment" needs to be stable enough to hold up everything else. Society is built on the working class.You[1] get too top heavy with the wealth distribution, you start having real issues.
