View submission: Thoughts on trump’s economy?
I actually heard this quite a bit after election:
"Hey don't worry so much about Trump, stop reading the news, go get some fresh air and enjoy a nice healthy bump in your retirement and stock portfolios."
I think a lot of people thought that he would just do tax cuts for the rich, boost the stock market for a few years, and then the next admin would come back and fix any damage... basically what happened last time.
And the markets were pricing in just that scenario, with a big healthy bump after the election and before he took office/ started creating absolute chaos.

Historical stock markets have done well when Democrats run things. Tax cuts for the rich only work if taxes are suffocatingly high, which the US is not even close. Public spending is good for the economy, good for both the rich and the poor.

I mean we got through the last four years okay. The problem is 4 years ago Republicans and Trump admin members were actively curbing his crazy shit... There are no guard rails now. It absolutely baffles me how many people said "nothing bad will happen this time either" when he was talking for years about getting rid of all the guard rails.

It needs to be said once and for all. Republicans are actually the smug, elitist, think they know it all assholes they always claimed the left was.
These lemmings were so sure of themselves and arrogant to rub it in all of our faces because they fashion themselves the clever big man in the room who outwits the women and the neurotic men. In reality it's just a character they wish they were.
They fucked up just like they did with Bush and just like Bush they will learn nothing from it

Also wild to me that people who are not rich still think tax cuts for the rich are going to benefit them 40 years into trickle down economics. Like are you really still standing there waiting for the trickle?

What happened last time lol? Biden drilled the economy for 3 years while Jerome Powell tried to keep inflation from hitting 20%?
