Usually modern politics moves pretty fast, so perhaps a decade or two before anti-authoritarian revolts start to become successful if despotism gains real traction.
2026 is the next major milestone for the US. That will give a clearer signal about how US democracy is really holding up. The daily shit show may not be as permanent as it appears.
