View submission: Trumpism, here to stay?

"Trumpism" is the result of sixty years of the Republican party distilling its further-right side. You could even go further and trace roots back to the pre-WWII American fascist movements or post-Reconstruction era.

Now that they've seen success, not only is Trumpism here to stay, but until they face a series of crushing losses, they'll continue to radicalize and get even worse. You can't break an addict out of their addiction while they're at a high.

Trump is the mutant to the republicans foundation. They couldn’t predict him, can’t control him, and are desperately doing everything they can to capitalize on his flash in the pan….but it’s undercooked and NOT the plan. They MIGHT pull it off, but they won’t keep his crazed base, and he’s out for revenge on America.

They won't be able to have any losses if there aren't elections. Or if step #14 of fascism comes to play (it may already have)
