View submission: Job situation
As someone who's been here since 2018, finished a second degree in Finland, Got a b2 language certificate and worked multiple jobs here. And currently been unemployed for around 10 months.
And the news about TE being abolished. I am still waiting to get contact back from my personal agent from TE regarding the situation, since TE will no longer exist and the responsibility will fall onto the Cites for the unemployed and whatnot.
If you have something like YTK or workers union unem. Fund, for however long you have left, I'd definetly hold onto that and use it. Otherwise.. you can't do much other than just simply wait, be patient and hope for the best.
I definetly won't be leaving finland atm just because the situation is shit. Considering its bad both for foreigners and locals I don't feel as bad being unemployed.
Altough it definetly makes things worse if yourself, like me wants to go back to school to get an education, again for the 3rd or 4th time hoping to be in an area of expertise that might contribute positively to the economy but being hindered by waiting times and current budget cuts.
Altough I see comments also saying how the unemployement situation was shit years ago. I might be the exception to the rule in saying I've never had any problem finding work the past 5-6 years, from cleaning to construction, welding , roofing and so on. Altough I have to say it somewhat depens also which city you live in and the current economic recession definetly does not help anyone.
There's nothing here!
