View submission: Filing Taxes? Remember TABOR opt in
Hmm wonder if I did that in freetaxusa software?
Also there was a form it said i needed to sign and mail in at the end. Or rather it said I was all done and offered up a form for me, but didn’t give instructions. Anyone know if that is necessary?

Also wondering about freetaxusa. I’m planning on doing it this weekend.
Edit: apparently freetaxusa automatically opts you in, according to other comments I found on various Colorado subs.

According to the article, most tax software SHOULD handle this automatically but be sure to verify.

Most of these softwares add it in automatically. TurboTax does, so freetaxusa likely does as well.

Lines 30 to 35 on the return from FreeTaxUSA. Automatically calculates it after answering your residency questions.

Freetaxusa does it automatically. Did it last weekend and it had $750 from it on there by default.

wondering too. the word is a bit confusing cause it says we will email you if rejected or accepted (didn't get any emails) and in bottom it says mail dr 1778. so probably I'm just gonna send them the form

freetax auto opts you in. On your form question, I don't know. Depends on the form.

Any odd credits for the year? We donate to an org that has a child care credit for the state and always have to send a supplemental form in. Not sure on TABOR haven’t done this years.

My return from the state was rather large, so I'm assuming it opted in automatically on freetaxusa

Mine automatically opted in on free tax USA. If I remember correctly it’s around line 35 on your state return. You’ll see a chart above it and what you’re owed depending on the bracket you’re in. (Of course they decided the rich need more this time around). Hey though now all the people on this sub who hate tabor and think we should pay even more taxes can do that themselves. I’m sure it’s not actually about them wanting others to pay more.
