Most people are gonna be rewarded, not punished.
In fact 99.9% of people are gonna be rewarded a little more with this. Are they not also contributors?
Currently only 17 people would get less.
But in future distribution, those 17 people would be affected less. I've made some calculations, and in future distribution, it's more likely that eventually most of them would get around 15K karma anyway, or even less, since it keeps going down.
So eventually it won't affect anyone negatively, or maybe only a couple people, and will close a dangerous loophole that has been unchecked.
