View submission: What’s the weirdest “unwritten rule” everyone just follows?
Fun fact: The connection between a white wedding dress and virginity came later. White wedding dresses were initially just a status symbol, since they're wildly impractical. They were popularized by Queen Victoria when she got married in one, but prior to that, there was no standardized color for wedding dresses, and blue was actually the color associated with virginity in most of Europe (which is why you see so many depictions of the Virgin Mary in blue).
