Except that is incorrect.
For example in the Sigalovada Sutta, the householder is expected to love and treat the wife with respect.
In Dighajanu, the entire background is that of happy families and households.
In Samajivi, request to be reborn together as husband and wife is requested and solution given.
The Buddha gave two advise, one to monks, and one to householders.
