Cumin, coriander, chilli, fenugreek, garlic, ginger, curry, black pepper, turmeric, paprika, cardamom, nutmeg - here's the pretty common 12 of them
Some add cinnamon, cloves, white pepper, carom
And that's just the Indian/ Pakistani currys, you have a whole other ball game with Thai

Yeah, 30 seems a lot but you can get so many in one decent meal. A well spiced veg curry gets you a long way.
