View submission: Are opticians just glorified salesman's now?
0.25 is negligible, people score that difference taking the test twice in the same day. Having had basically the same prescription all my adult life, my experience at every other shop has been that they say "you don't actually need new glasses, if you wanted to have a look today anyway I can call someone" to which I say no thanks, specsavers were clearly just on a scripted pipeline to push anyone into the glasses shop possible lol.
I wouldn't go back but work gave me free test vouchers only usable at specsavers

So you said ‘no thank you’ and went on your way? Because it seems this was a non issue for you. Some people might notice a 0.25 difference, but if you didn’t and are okay with your eyesight then just do what works for you 👍
