Pituitary adenoma was suspected, but CT showed Inter-cranial hypertension. Not limited to the pituitary gland. Which was an odd coincidence as my grandfather and father both had pituitary tumours, and both were told the type they had were not hereditary! Anyway they drained my fluid with a lumbar puncture, treated with medication to keep fluid production lower and frequent monitoring, to see if I will need a shunt. I think I’d become desensitised to how much pain etc the extra pressure was causing because the relief of having it drained and maintained at a lower rate has been immense.
If the pressure had stayed for much longer I would have lost the sight in my right eye completely. As it stands I’ve reduced sight in my right eye now and some lasting nerve pain. Hopefully a shunt won’t be necessary but we will wait and see.

I went in with a chalazion on my eyelid and then they tried selling me £400 oakley designer frames for glasses that I don't need lol.
I think the morale of the story is that it depends which one you go to.
