View submission: People WITHOUT depression and anxiety, what is life like?
Wellbutrin has been a game changer for me. While my symptoms are not totally gone, I am leagues more functional now. I can also "connect" with my feelings now. Before it felt like anxiety and depression were there, but I didn't know how to access those feelings... sort of like if your vision got .01 percent darker every day and you didn't notice until it was really dark. Now I mostly "see clearly" but sometimes get days where the "dark vision" drops on like sunglasses. In those moments I feel really bad, but I'm reality its the same symptoms they're just more obvious when you go from white to black (instead of grey all the time). The number one most important thing is to be mindful. Keep a journal, get an app etc. I would keep a daily score of how I was feeling (rating 4 or 5 of my main symptoms from 1 to 5 based on severity, and adding it up). That way when you're in recovery and having a bad day, you can look back and compare how far you've come. It would be easy for me to feel like my meds aren't working when I have a bad day, but when I compare it to the constant grey of before its a huge improvement.

The journal is a great idea ! Also, the way you described depression and anxiety is spot on.
Thank you.
