I’m so happy you found meds that work for you! I’ve been trying to find mine for over a decade. I’m on Wellbutrin now for the last few years and it’s *fine*, but I’m still very depressed most of the times. Much better than I used to be though.

I just started on Wellbutrin after taking Lexapro and temporarily losing my vision.

I am excited to not feel as depressed one day. I’ve had chronic untreated depression and I hope I’m able to smile without feeling guilty or unworthy of it. I’m hoping for that day.

Do you get days where you forget your depression on Wellbutrin?

Right on. Do you have a pet? I found that having a pet helped my mental health immensely. I got a dog 15 years ago when I was struggling with my depression and anxiety the most, and he lived with me for another 10 years before he passed away. Then I was lucky enough to live at a house that had a cat, and the cat was a big boost to my mental health. Now I own my own house (never thought I would be lucky enough to own my own house) and I have a dog again. I highly recommend pets for mental health, if you can have one.

I know a lot of people that have this problem, have you looked into tms or ketamine treatment? It’s for drug resistant depression! I got it and I’m finally feeling like a person again.

I tried a very long time to find meds that worked for me, gave up entirely for about a year. But then I got a lot worse again and my husband encouraged me to try again so I found a new doctor. He thinks I actually have misdiagnosed bipolar and it's a bit early to tell but the meds he put me on now seem to actually be making a difference for once, so here's hoping.
