Because those men aren’t controlling anything at work. They’re suppressing it. Big difference. Emotional discipline and emotional suppression are almost identical, the only difference is discipline means you process the emotion and let it pass, suppression means you shove it down deep where it’ll explode later on. Most people in general take the emotional suppression route and then crash out later down the line. It’s not about getting away with anything, it’s that most men are told from a young age that vulnerability or being over emotional is weakness and fundamentally bad, that it makes you not a real man. They are not taught how to have actual emotional discipline, just that emotions are bad, so they do the easiest thing, which is suppression.

But if the crashout were uncontrolled a lot more of these men would explode at work or in public or in professional settings. But vast majority dont & that's my point.
