View submission: What's something you never understood about the opposite gender?
Yes I 100% agree! It applies to men, too. I also know way too many men that stay pals with sexual offenders, abusers, and plain terrible people. I know a guy whose roommate/friend basically tried to scam him out of tens of thousands of dollars. Still invited to the wedding. Still keeping in touch.
I do think what's different with this dynamic in men versus women is that women are societally conditioned to keep quiet and to keep the peace in a way that men aren't. So the exact dynamics are different, and I think the big female frenemy groups are a bit more common. That said, I also think people (especially men) tend to propagate this "Hahahaha women are SOOOO much drama" narrative which is super reductive. Men are also soooo much drama but I guess it doesn't count when it's them. 🤦🏼♀️

Yeah sorry but a girl friend group being comprised of people catty with each other and jealous of each others abs or boobs doesn’t really compare with men staying friend with sex offenders and not just the abusers of others…. But like in your example with their own Hardcore abusers.
Which of course doesn’t mean women don’t also sometimes stay friend with heinous abusers.
People aren’t generally very good at all. Like at all.
