Most women are even MORE likely to turn down a guy for lying

You'd think so, but really not true.
I mean, lying is definitely a worse thing to do than just existing as a person under 6ft. But women's initial dating criteria is like a computer filter. If you don't meet it you are simply immediately disqualified. Very nearly 100% of the time. There is no chance whatsoever. A guy who lies is going to make a lot of women leave, but nowhere near all of them. Even if it was 98% that's better than 99.9999%
Yes it happens some of the time, and it sucks when it does. But it's always better odds than the initial 99% disqualification, and you get a shot to show her your real self in person. It puts you in a sort of debt to make up the for the lie, but that's really no different than taking out a lone to start a business, or using your credit card to make a purchase. You can at least pay it off eventually instead of never getting to start at all.
Besides, it's not like you girls don't do the same. Not with words, but with filters, makeup, and flattering camera angles. A picture is worth a thousand words. When we see you in person we know it's a lie immediately. But you got us on the date, and we get to pay attention to your other qualities.

Why do you lie about your face with makeup, and filters?
