This is the future. Keep on good terms with everybody and stay to yourself. Watch the grandkids, teach them what you know. Pull your own weight. And learn not to be a whiney asshole.

Not for me. I’ve saved enough to retire early at 60, don’t really need SS to live, but have to keep someone up that didn’t. That I’m not technically related to. He married her mom 8 months before me and my wife married. He’s not been around all her life.

There's an old saying; I think it's originally Italian , something like " the time and quality we put in to our children they pay back when we're old." If someone knows the original, please respond.

the problem is that this sentiment is antithetical to the "me" generation values many of them lived. I see it in my Mother and pray she never has to move in with me.
